Organized Play Moves to PlayRiftbound.com on 14 September

Riot has announced that on 14 September PlayRiftbound.com becomes the home of Riftbound Organized Play, replacing carde.io as the place where players find, register for, and play in events.

The switch takes effect with Radiance Pre-Rift registration. Players sign in with a Riot ID and there is no account-linking step, so anyone without a Riot account should create one before registration opens. During an event, pairings and result reporting move to the same site from your phone. Stores and organizers get a single place to list events and handle sign-ups.

Riot says match history from carde.io will be migrated, in cooperation with UVS.

One caveat is worth knowing in advance. Asked about the community tools built on carde.io data, Riot answered that those projects will likely be interrupted by the change, while stating that breaking them is not the goal. Stat sites and deck databases that read event data may go quiet around the transition.

The Rules Hub and articles stay on the site. Riot listed better tools for organizers and judges, expanded 2v2 tournament support, and easier decklist creation and validation among the things it is exploring, with a store-focused update due at the end of October.
