Akali Rises to Tier 1 in Riftbound's Post-Singapore Rankings
riftbound.gg has published its updated Vendetta tier list after the Singapore Regional Qualifier, and the top of the format has shifted.
Kennen, Heart of the Tempest remains the best Legend by almost every measure: the most Top 8 finishes, the highest attendance, and a lead that grows on day two. Yet Kennen has now lost three straight Regional Qualifier finals, and that missing trophy is the one metric it does not top. It stays in Tier 1.
Akali, Rogue Assassin is the story of the week. After taking down Singapore with a midrange deck built around Astral Heron, Akali climbs into Tier 1 for the first time. Master Yi, Wuju Bladesman holds its Tier 1 spot as the other Legend consistently chasing Kennen.
Azir, Emperor of the Sands also stays in the top tier, and the site now rates it ahead of Rengar, Pridestalker among the format's proactive Legends. The biggest fall belongs to Irelia, Blade Dancer: despite winning Wuhan, a Top 64 finish in Singapore drops it out of Tier 1, with Akali overtaking it using a similar midrange style.
The ranking, written by Den, draws on tournaments played between 25 August and 9 September.
