Riftbound Reveals Radiance's New Keywords and Two More Legends
Riot has revealed the mechanics and several new Legends for Radiance at the set's developer panel during the Los Angeles Regional Qualifier, as detailed on the official Riftbound site. The set introduces three keywords.
New keywords
Deploy lets a Gear be played only to a Battlefield, including one an opponent controls, where it grants benefits while it stays. Show Off rewards revealing a qualifying card from your hand or board to unlock an added effect. Disarm lowers an enemy Unit's Might on the same battlefield and stacks with each instance. The set also adds Equipment Units, which unequip on their own when they become Units, and Bomb tokens.
Legends and collectibles
Radiance ships with nine new Legends. K'Sante and Heimerdinger join the previously confirmed Ekko, Seraphine, Ziggs, Jarvan IV, Orianna and Evelynn, while Neeko is the game's first neutral Champion Unit. The HEARTSTEEL band anchors a run of overnumbered Champions, with Aphelios, Ezreal, Yone, Kayn and Sett returning in new art alongside a new K'Sante. Riot also confirmed the second Ultimate Rare in the game's history, found in about 0.025% of packs, plus overnumbered variants for all nine Legends and a new Collector's Binder.
Radiance releases 23 October in English, French and Simplified Chinese, with previews running through 10 October and prerelease events 16-22 October.
